Your Knee Sleeve Feels Fine at Mile 1. What About Mile 6?
A regular sleeve gives you one level of hold for the whole run. But the warm-up, the hills and the last mile don’t ask for the same thing. Here’s what adjustable support changes.
A run you might recognise
-
Mile 1
You start the run thinking about your knee. Not your pace or the route. Just whether today is a good knee day.
-
Mile 4
Your sleeve has slid down to your shin. You stop, pull it up and start again. Twice more before you get home.
-
The hill
Going down, you hold back. You’d like a bit more hold, and the sleeve has nothing more to give.
-
Back home
Off it comes, straight away.By the end it feels too tight to keep on.
Why one setting falls short
A regular sleeve gets its hold from the fabric. You pick it once, with the size. Snug enough for the hills is too tight by the cool-down. Comfortable enough to keep on slides down by mile four.
Strap braces add Velcro, but straps can shift and loosen when you sweat. Meanwhile, what your knee wants changes during one run:
A light, steady hold while you get going.
More hold when you’re loading the knee.
Ease off so you can keep it on without it squeezing.
The solution
Meet STRYDE ACTIVE
STRYDE ACTIVE is a knee compression sleeve with a dial on the side. Turn it to tighten, click by click. Pull it to release. Snug for the warm-up, firmer for the hills, easier on the way home, without stopping to change anything.
- Adjust the hold mid-run, in seconds
- Padded ring around the kneecap
- No straps to shift when you sweat
- Black or white, sizes M to XXL
How it works
Three simple steps
Pull it on
Like a normal sleeve. Ring pad centred on the kneecap.
Turn the dial
Click it tighter until it feels right. Pull the dial to release.
Run, then adjust
Firmer for the hills, easier on the way home.
The details
Four features that make STRYDE ACTIVE different
Ring pad
A padded ring around the kneecap keeps the sleeve centred where you put it.
No straps
Nothing to re-stick, shift or chafe when you sweat.
Shaped knit
Follows the knee on every stride, uphill and down.
On the bike and in the gym too
The dial sits on the outside of the knee, out of the way when you pedal or squat.

Same knee, two sleeves
Real footage of both, side by side.
- Hold set by the fabric and the size
- To change the fit: take it off and refit
- Kneecap: varies, often plain fabric
- Hold set by you, with the dial
- To change the fit: turn or pull the dial
- Kneecap: padded ring
Our take: if your sleeve never feels quite right, try one you can adjust.
If your sleeve slides down mid-run or feels too tight by the end, another size may not solve it. A hold you can change while you run might. Start with one sleeve and try it on at home.
Before you decide
Can I use it for cycling and the gym too?
Yes, it’s designed for active use in general. The dial sits on the outside of the knee, so it stays out of the way when you pedal or squat.
Which size do I need?
Measure your thigh 6 in (15 cm) above the knee and pick the size from the guide: M 15–17 in, L 17–19 in, XL 19–21 in, XXL 21–23 in. Between two sizes? Take the larger one; the dial does the fine-tuning.
Do I order a left or a right knee?
Pick the knee you’ll wear it on. The dial sits on the outside of the knee so it’s easy to reach. Want one on each knee? Take two and the second one is cheaper.
What if it doesn’t fit?
Try it on at home. If it’s not right, send it back unworn within 30 days. Full details are in our Return & Refund policy.
Is this a medical device?
No. It’s a compression sleeve for comfort and support while you’re active. It isn’t meant to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you have an injury or ongoing knee problems, talk to a doctor or physio first.
